The BIOSURF and Bin2Grid EU projects have been successfully running for the last three years, with the aim of increasing the production and use of biomethane in Europe.
By promoting the collection of waste materials such as food and animal waste, while removing non-technical barriers, the projects managed to develop the grid injection of biomethane and its use as a transport fuel, paving the way towards a European biomethane market.
As both projects will be concluded at the end of the year, BIOSURF and Bin2Grid representatives are proud to invite you to their final conference taking place on 24 November 2017 in Brussels, to present their main achievements, methods and best practices.
Topics of discussion will include:
Cooperation among the national biomethane registries • European mass-balancing system for biomethane • Free market biomethane trade • Sustainable raw material supply • Methodology for entitlement to CO2 certificates • Regional specificities • Transferability of results beyond project countries • Biomethane as a transport fuel • Sustainable management of food and beverage waste
